SORACOMユーザーコンソールに新しい機能が追加されました。
幸いなことに、ソラコムのサービスは、2016年7月時点で3000以上のお客様・パートナー様にお使いいただいています！
ソラコムでは、通信使用量の実績データや請求情報を CSV 形式もしくはPDF形式でダウンロードできますが、多くの Air SIM を管理し、サービスをご利用されているお客様にとっては、ダウンロードに時間がかかっていました。
このようなフィードバックをいただき、このたび、非同期にデータをエクスポートする機能を追加しました。
例えば、CSVとしてSORACOM Air、Beam の統計情報のエクスポート、もしくはPDF形式の請求書をダウンロードする際も、ユーザコンソールを使用し続けることができ、自動的にダウンロードが開始されます。
また、アクセス制限をもつSAMユーザー機能を使用している場合、セキュリティポリシーの設定により、当機能の使用を制限することができます。
関連するセキュリティポリシーを編集することにより、非同期エクスポート機能を有効にすることができます。

Last week the SORACOM user console was updated with a new feature: asynchronous data export.
This is a big improvement for large export jobs, because it means that when you start an export (for example, by exporting your Soracom Air or Beam statistics as CSV, or downloading a billing statement in PDF format) you no longer have to wait for the export job to complete before continuing your work. You can continue to use the user console, and the download will begin automatically once the export is complete.
It also means you can start multiple exports at the same time, making them run in parallel. This is useful in certain cases, such as when you want to export many monthly billing statements.
For many typical use cases, the difference probably isn’t very noticeable. The previous version of the export feature was fast enough to handle those workloads. But for users with thousands of SIMs, or very high data volumes, this new version is a significant improvement.
There is one intentional limitation: if you’ve used the SAM feature to create one or more restricted users for your account, the security policy for those users may prohibit using new features (meaning features that did not exist at the time the security policy was created). When logging in as one of these restricted users, the new asynchronous export feature will be unavailable, and exporting will work exactly the same way it did before. You can enable the new asynchronous export feature for restricted users by editing the associated security policy (Main Menu → Security → Users → Permissions).

Our goal is very simple: to deliver real-world improvements, quickly and continuously, that address the actual needs of our customers.
